You compete for three
award levels.
The Regents Scholars Program provides scholarships to students at three distinct levels.
The 3 levels of Regents Scholarship support
- Distinguished Regents Scholarship: 25 or fewer students receive this four-year award, which is worth approximately $60,000. Distinguished Regents Scholars who wish to join the Honors College are automatically enrolled.
- Silver Regents Scholarship: 75 students receive this two-year award worth $8,000 ($4,000 per year).
- Crimson Regents Scholarship: All remaining eligible students receive this award worth $6,000 ($3,000 per year).
The University bases Regents Scholar awards on academic strength, leadership, and community, cultural, and extracurricular involvement. Nominated students show exceptional commitment and academic performance often while managing part-time jobs, extraordinary family situations, and other special circumstances.
To receive their awards, Regents Scholars must attend Washington State University in Pullman and meet the program's renewal criteria.
Note: Regents Scholar awards may be combined with many other scholarships; however, the University Achievement Award is not granted in conjunction with Regents Scholars Program awards.
